Ted Browning is a Partner in the Virginia office of Johnson Lambert & Co. LLP. Ted is responsible for providing audit, tax, and consulting services to Associations and Other Non-Profits and Employee Benefit Plans clients. Ted’s qualifications are extensive reflecting over 35 years of experience. Ted served on the AICPA’s Not-for-Profit Committee during the period in which numerous accounting standards relevant to non-profit organizations were developed. As a member of the committee, Ted was directly involved in the rewriting of the AICPA’s Audit and Accounting Guide for Not-for-Profit Organizations. He has a common sense approach to reaching the right answer on difficult technical matters – pulling from his deep knowledge of the non-profit accounting industry from his various positions on the AICPA committees. He brings an understanding of the intent of technical guidance rather than only the words of the issued guidance as a result of his involvement in the development of relevant literature.
