Ann K. Batlle, Esq.

Ann K. Batlle is Of Counsel-elect in the tax practice of Morgan Lewis’ Washington, DC office. Her practice focuses primarily on advising public charities, private foundations, museums, colleges and universities and other tax-exempt organizations on a variety of matters, including exemption issues, unrelated business income tax, executive compensation, excise tax issues, corporate governance, charitable giving, lobbying and IRS audits.

Ms. Batlle regularly speaks at conferences for tax-exempt organizations. Recent topics have included corporate sponsorships, political activities and international grantmaking issues at the “Representing and Managing Tax-Exempt Organizations,” sponsored by the Georgetown University Law Center and unrelated business income tax issues for museums at the American Association of Museums’ annual conference. She has also published an article on “IRS Audits of Tax Exempt Organizations” in the Journal of Tax Practice and Procedure (June 2004).
h College (1995), and a J.D. from New York University School of Law (2000), and is admitted to the Bar in District of Columbia and Maryland.

Ms. Batlle serves also as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Agua Fund and is a former Fellow, National Center for Philanthropy and the Law, New York University School of Law.
