Steve Vick is the Vice President for Financial Planning and Operations at the National Geographic Society. He has been with National Geographic since 1987 and is responsible for Financial Planning and Reporting. He also has responsibility for Payroll, Risk Management and all Business Information Systems applications, and since 2001, he has also been in charge of National Geographic’s Emergency Preparedness/Business Continuity planning and administration.
Prior to joining the Society, Steve was a manager in the Management Information Consulting Division of Arthur Andersen & Co. His area of expertise was the implementation of financial systems, and his clients were primarily in the non-profit and utility industries.
Steve holds an MBA from The College of William and Mary and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Steve currently resides in Clifton, Virginia with his wife of 25 years and their two daughters.
