Stephanie Murphy serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Air-Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Institute in Arlington, VA, a non-profit trade association representing manufacturers of air-conditioning, heating and commercial refrigeration equipment. Ms. Murphy is a CPA and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from George Mason University where she was also awarded her BS in Accounting. From 2004 to 2007, Ms. Murphy was the Finance and Administrative Officer for IODP Management International, a nonprofit organization funded by the National Science Foundation to perform ocean research. From 2000 to 2004, Ms. Murphy was Chief Financial Officer for Global Impact, a federation of America’s leading humanitarian agencies. Ms. Murphy has also served as Audit Manager and Senior Accountant for a major public accounting firm. Ms. Murphy currently serves as the Treasurer of the Board for Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO). HVO is a private non-profit organization dedicated to improving the availability and quality of health care in developing countries through the training and education of local health care providers.
