Judy Borsher, CPA, MBA, is the President of SCG Training and Consulting, a technology firm providing instructor-led training, consulting and programming services. She is a long-time presenter of technology CPE programs for the accounting community and since 1987 has personally delivered over 1,500 technology lectures with consistently high ratings.
Judy specializes in creating customized training programs for Microsoft Excel and other MS Office topics for accounting and finance professionals and providing Visual Basic programming services in Excel to develop financial and reporting solutions for large companies. She approaches technology training with a focus on helping companies clearly define their unique training requirements to aid in streamlining workflow and creating software solutions for time consuming tasks.
Prior to establishing SCG, Judy worked for KPMG, in industry finance positions and also with a national training company under contract with IBM, developing and managing technology training programs. Judy’s long-term client relationships include Lockheed Martin Corporation, IBM, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Maryland Association of CPAs, accounting firms, associations and not-for-profit organizations.
Judy has delivered annual presentations at the Maryland Association of CPAs Computer Conference since 1993 on Advanced Excel and MS Office topics and has been a presenter of technology CPE courses to members of the Maryland Association of CPAs and The Business Learning Institute, Inc. for many years. Judy has also been a speaker at the AICPA Technology Conference and the Virginia Society of CPAs Government and Nonprofit Conference on Excel topics.
Judy is a member in good standing of the American Institute of CPAs, the Maryland Association of CPAs, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, and the Virginia Society of CPAs. She also is a Microsoft Certified Instructor in Office 2007 and a has achieved the CITP certification from the AICPA.
Ms. Borsher holds a Bachelors degree and Masters of Business Administration degree from Cornell University in finance and accounting.
